Request for refund
Psychology of Language Learning conference Cape Breton University, Canada

Instructions if you registered before November 2021 for the conference (which was postponed)

The fourth international Psychology of Language Learning conference (PLL4) was scheduled to be held at Cape Breton University (CANADA) in June 2020. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the conference was postponed to June 2022. Registrations and fees paid are carried over automatically to the new conference dates (no need to register again).

Participants who registered and paid the conference fee can request a full refund of the conference fees (less the $5 fee charged by the registration company). Anyone who wishes to register to attend PLL4 can re-register and pay the fee posted at that time.

Please note that the conference fee is separate from the IAPLL Association membership fee. IAPLL has extended the membership period for anyone who joined for PLL4. If you joined or renewed your IAPLL membership in 2018, 2019, or 2020 you can continue to be a member until the end of 2022.

Unfortunately the company that ran the registration process we used for 2020 has changed their system, their server is offline and the opportunity for refunds using that system expired at the end of October 2021 (they were able to extend the service past June, but it is gone now).
To request a refund, please send an email to pll4.conference[at]gmail.com. We will have to work out the refund process with you individually which might include a credit card refund, wire transfer or mailing a cheque in CAD. We appreciate your patience as we work through this sometimes complicated process.

In the message, please let us know which of the following applies to you:
1. I would like to use a credit to refund the conference fee. For security, please do not send the card info in that email. We will send you instructions.
2. I am in Canada, please issue a refund cheque to the name and address.
3. I am not in Canada, please send me a Wire Transfer Form to fill out.

Instructions if you registered after November 1, 2021.

The new registration system will use EventBrite. Refunds, on a sliding scale, will be offered according to the policy posted on this website under Registration Information as the conference approaches. Please check the applicable dates and percentage that can be refunded.

To request a refund for registration made using Eventbrite, please log on to the site and request a refund via Eventbrite. They usually are processed within a few days.
